Texas Legislature has named this city in Kaufman County, the “Antique Capital of Texas!” In 2010, population was almost 15,000, and this is one strong city that knows how to grow and rebuild. In the tornado outbreak of 2012, Forney took a big hit to homes and local schools. The natural vegetation on which Forney was built, was a mixture of tall grasses that made some very clean and nutritious hay! Besides great land, this city had an interesting reputation in the 1870’s and 80’s for being a hard-drinking, gambling and brawling settlement, despite the efforts of the town fathers to build a progressive, law abiding town! Although the train no longer stops here, and the city of Forney no longer thrives on growing hay and cotton, it looks into the future and new economy with a sense of nostalgia and pride in its heritage. We have helped troubleshoot and repair Point of Sale systems in retail environments here.
